  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 4 small ones)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional for color)
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning (or fresh herbs)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (or water, for extra moisture)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken – Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Sear the Chicken – Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the pan.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce – Lower heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic, stirring until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Deglaze the Pan – Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any bits from the pan for extra flavor.
  5. Simmer & Serve – Return the chicken to the pan and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F). Spoon sauce over the chicken and serve hot.
