  • 1 cup warm milk Ensure the milk is warm but not hot for proofing the yeast.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast Make sure to proof the yeast.
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
For the Filling
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup softened butter For spreading on the dough.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit to foam.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour and salt.
  3. Once the yeast is frothy, add it to the flour mix along with melted butter and eggs. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise until it doubles in size.
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter.
  6. Roll out the dough, spread the filling, and shape it into a loaf.
Baking
  1. Bake until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Tips: Ensure the milk isn’t too hot to avoid killing the yeast. Knead well for a great texture, and roll the dough evenly for consistent baking.
