- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1/4 tsp salt

- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Casserole
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and place the cubed bread inside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour the mixture evenly over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are coated.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (at least 6-8 hours).
Step 2: Add the Topping & Bake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the topping over the soaked bread mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown and set.
