Ingredients
  

Chicken and Marinade
  • 1 lb chicken pieces (breasts, thighs, or tenders) Pat dry before seasoning.
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce You can thicken it if desired.
  • 1 tbsp honey Adds sweetness.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Use gluten-free if necessary.
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil Optional for added flavor.
  • salt to taste Season the chicken.
  • pepper to taste Season the chicken.
Garnishes
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds For topping.
  • 2 tbsp green onions Chopped, for garnishing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken pieces dry, then season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Mix teriyaki sauce, honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce in a bowl. Add sesame oil if desired.
  3. Marinate the chicken in the sauce for 15 to 30 minutes if time allows.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (about 5 minutes).
Cooking
  1. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring not to crowd the pieces.
  2. Cook for 10 minutes, flip the chicken, then cook for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until the chicken reaches 165°F and is golden.
  3. Brush extra teriyaki sauce on the chicken in the last 2 minutes of cooking for a sticky finish.
Serving
  1. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice or serve whole.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice and vegetables. Add salad for a fresh contrast. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
