Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Use gluten-free flour blend if needed.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Filling
  • 2 cups chopped apples Use sweet varieties like Fuji or Honeycrisp.
Topping
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar For topping, you can increase if preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples.
Baking
  1. Layer the batter in the loaf pan, topping with cinnamon sugar mixture before adding the remaining batter.
  2. Bake for 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Let it cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

For a sweeter finish, drizzle with vanilla glaze before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
