  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice To enhance the flavor and prevent browning.
For the Cobbler Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Use unsalted for better control of salt.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the apples and toss them in a bowl with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Spread the apple mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Making the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add melted butter and milk, stirring until combined.
  3. Pour the topping mixture over the apples in the baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated. For best results, check for doneness around 30 minutes of baking time.
