Ingredients

  • 2 medium-sized Sweet Potatoes They become creamy and mildly sweet—perfect for tiny taste buds!

  • 2 medium Apples Sweet, tart, and full of fiber
  • 1 cup Peas These little green gems are bursting with nutrients!
  • 2 medium Carrots They bring a beautiful orange hue and are packed with vitamins
  • 1 ripe Avocado Wonderfully creamy and full of healthy fats
  • 1 small Butternut Squash Such a sweet comfort food!
  • 2 ripe Pears They taste divine and are oh-so-smooth!
  • 1 cup Green Beans For a subtle earthy flavor
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Canned or fresh; a delightful autumn taste any time of year!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather your ingredients, a pot for steaming or boiling, a blender, and a storage container.
Making Purees
  1. Wash, peel, and chop your produce into small chunks for even cooking.
  2. Steam or boil the ingredients until they’re tender, about 15-20 minutes for sweet potatoes.
  3. Place the cooked ingredients into a blender. Add a little water or breast milk to achieve a creamy texture and blend until smooth.
Assembly and Storage
  1. Spoon the purees into ice cube trays or baby food storage containers for freezing.
  2. Cover and freeze for up to three months. Thaw in the fridge overnight or warm gently before serving.

Ensure to choose ripe, fresh, and seasonal fruits and vegetables for the best flavor and nutrients. Label containers with the date and contents for easy identification.
