Ingredients
  

Cheesecake Ingredients
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ cup Baileys Irish Cream Add for flavor and richness.
Chocolate Whipped Cream Ingredients
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled Chill the bowl and beaters for better whipping.
  • 2 tablespoons Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Additional Ingredients
  • 20 pieces Oreo cookies Crush into crumbs for layering.

Method
 

Preparation of Cheesecake Layer
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and sea salt together until combined.
  2. Add ¼ cup Baileys and continue beating until smooth and fluffy.
Preparation of Whipped Cream Layer
  1. In a separate mixing bowl, beat 1 cup of heavy whipping cream until it doubles in volume and begins to thicken.
  2. Add in 2 tablespoons Baileys, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, and 2 tablespoons powdered sugar.
  3. Beat until the mixture is thick and forms stiff peaks.
Assembling the Trifle
  1. Place Oreo cookies into a gallon size plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin to form small crumbles.
  2. Spoon the cheesecake mixture and whipped cream mixture into large piping bags.
  3. Begin layering in four lowball glasses starting with cookie crumbs, followed by cheesecake mixture, and then whipped cream mixture.
  4. Repeat the layering with a second layer of cookie crumbs and cheesecake mixture.
  5. Using an open star piping tip, pipe a swirl of whipped cream on top of each glass.
  6. Serve with a sprinkle of crushed cookies on top.

Notes

Covered tightly, the trifle will keep for up to 3 days. Let the flavors deepen overnight for best results.
