  • 4 pieces Honeycrisp apples Firm apples that hold their shape well when baked.
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened or melted Use soft butter to bind the filling.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Carefully core the Honeycrisp apples, leaving the bases intact to create cavities for the filling.
Mixing the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, softened butter, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix until cohesive.
Stuffing the Apples
  1. Generously fill each apple cavity with the mixture, packing it lightly.
  2. Arrange the stuffed apples on the prepared baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake the apples for approximately 45–50 minutes until tender and golden brown.
  2. Allow the apples to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat before serving.
