For the Punch
  • 4 cups cranberry juice Use chilled for best results.
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda Use chilled to maintain carbonation.
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract Adjust to taste for desired mint flavor.
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes For garnish.
  • optional fresh mint leaves For garnish and extra flavor.

Preparation
  1. Gather all the ingredients together.
  2. In a large bowl or pitcher, combine 4 cups of cranberry juice and 2 cups of lemon-lime soda. Mix well.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract and stir thoroughly to blend.
  4. Fill glasses with the punch and garnish with crushed candy canes on the rim.
  5. Optionally, float some fresh mint leaves on top or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a creamy version.

Notes

Store any leftover punch in a covered pitcher in the refrigerator. Combine juices and peppermint beforehand, but add soda right before serving to keep it fizzy. You can freeze punch in ice cubes for future use.
