Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped You can use leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar) Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic provides the best flavor; garlic powder can be used as a substitute.
  • 4 large tortillas Use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas as alternatives.
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup vegetables (spinach, peppers, or tomatoes) Add any vegetables of your choice for extra flavor and nutrition.

Method

Preparation
  1. Chop the cooked chicken into small pieces.
  2. Mince the garlic and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add a bit of olive oil and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the chopped chicken to the skillet and stir for a few minutes until heated through.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheese and mix until melted and combined with the chicken.
Assembling
  1. Take a tortilla and place a portion of the cheesy chicken mixture in the center. You can add fresh vegetables at this stage.
  2. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and roll tightly to create a wrap.
  3. Optionally, toast the wrap in a skillet with a little butter for added crunch.

Notes

Cool down leftovers before wrapping them in plastic wrap or aluminum foil for storage. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for up to three months.
