Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and dice the potatoes into small pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine the diced potatoes with a drizzle of oil and the ranch seasoning.
- Mix everything well so that all the potatoes are coated in the seasoning.
- Slice the smoked sausage into rounds and add it to the bowl with the potatoes.
- Stir well to combine and pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Spread it out evenly and top with the shredded cheese.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
- For an extra cheesy finish, broil for a few minutes to bubble the cheese on top.
Serving
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve directly from the baking dish or pair with a fresh green salad.
- Optional: Add a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of fresh herbs on top.
