Ingredients

For the Fudge Base
  • 2 cups granulated sugar This is where the magic sweetness begins!
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter The key to that creamy texture.
  • cup evaporated milk Don’t skip this—it adds richness!
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips The heart of the fudge!
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For that lovely aroma.
  • ½ cup Cherry Coke The secret ingredient that adds fun!
  • 1 cup chopped cherries Fresh or canned, just make sure they’re pitted.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grab an 8x8-inch square baking pan. Line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Stir gently but continuously until the mixture comes to a full boil.
  3. Once boiling, stop stirring and allow it to boil for about 4-5 minutes.
Making the Filling
  1. Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly add in the chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and Cherry Coke. Stir until everything melts together.
  2. Fold in the chopped cherries.
Assembly
  1. Pour the fudge mixture into the lined baking pan and spread it out smoothly with a spatula.
  2. Allow it to cool at room temperature for about 2 hours.
  3. Cut into squares and if possible, refrigerate before serving.

Notes

For best results, use quality ingredients and do not rush the cooling process. You can add nuts or even a splash of mint extract for a twist.
