Ingredients
  

For the banana bread
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas Make sure the bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch none salt
For the espresso swirl
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons brewed espresso Strong coffee can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter, then add vanilla extract, sugar, and egg.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  6. For the espresso swirl, mix cocoa powder, brewed espresso, and sugar in a small bowl until smooth.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the loaf pan.
  8. Drizzle half of the espresso mixture over it, then repeat with the remaining batter and espresso.
  9. Using a knife, gently swirl the espresso mixture into the batter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool for a bit before slicing, and enjoy!

Notes

Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing for neat cuts. Top with powdered sugar or serve alongside fresh fruit for added appeal.
