Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups plain yogurt Use full-fat yogurt for a creamier texture.
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar Mix until fully dissolved.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Berry Swirl Ingredients
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) Mash with honey or maple syrup.
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. In another bowl, mash the mixed berries with honey or maple syrup until you have a chunky puree.
  3. Fold the berry mixture into the yogurt mixture gently, creating swirls of berry.
Churning
  1. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, transfer to a freezer-safe container, place it in the freezer, and stir every 30 minutes for about 2-3 hours until the yogurt is firm.
Serving
  1. Scoop the frozen yogurt into bowls and enjoy!

Notes

Let the mixture chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before churning for the best results. For a smoother swirl, blend the berries, but save some whole berries for texture.
