Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- In another bowl, mash the mixed berries with honey or maple syrup until you have a chunky puree.
- Fold the berry mixture into the yogurt mixture gently, creating swirls of berry.
Churning
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- If you don’t have an ice cream maker, transfer to a freezer-safe container, place it in the freezer, and stir every 30 minutes for about 2-3 hours until the yogurt is firm.
Serving
- Scoop the frozen yogurt into bowls and enjoy!
Notes
Let the mixture chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before churning for the best results. For a smoother swirl, blend the berries, but save some whole berries for texture.
