Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, then drain it and set it aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground meat with chopped onions and garlic until fragrant.
- Add the pasta sauce to the skillet and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti with the meat sauce mixture, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Italian herbs.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and top with additional mozzarella cheese.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
You can prepare this dish up to a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. To add a crunch, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top before baking. For spiciness, add crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce.
