  • 8 oz spaghetti Cook according to package instructions
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef or turkey) Choose your preferred meat
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Enhances flavor

  • 24 oz pasta sauce Your favorite sauce brand
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese For creaminess
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded For topping and mixing
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs For extra flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, then drain it and set it aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground meat with chopped onions and garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add the pasta sauce to the skillet and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti with the meat sauce mixture, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Italian herbs.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and top with additional mozzarella cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

You can prepare this dish up to a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. To add a crunch, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top before baking. For spiciness, add crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce.
