Ingredients
  

For the Chicken and Sauce
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Divided
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese Preferably freshly grated for richer flavor
For the Pasta
  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mince garlic and cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  2. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and remaining tablespoon of butter; add grated parmesan cheese to create a creamy sauce.
  5. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; reserve some pasta water before draining.
  6. Combine drained pasta with the chicken and sauce in the skillet, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.

Notes

Allow dish to cool before transferring to an airtight container to store. Reheat with a splash of milk or cream to maintain moisture.
