  • 1.5 cups Water Room temperature.
  • 1 tablespoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Mozzarella, cheddar, or your favorite type.
Topping
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For drizzling on top.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced, for topping.
  • 1 cup Additional shredded cheese Optional, for extra cheesiness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Mix the sourdough starter with flour and water in a large bowl.
  2. Let the mixture rise for about 3 hours or until doubled in size.
  3. Incorporate salt, minced garlic, and shredded cheese into the dough.
  4. Knead the dough gently until well combined.
  5. Place the dough in a greased baking dish and let it rise again until doubled.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Once the dough has risen, press your fingers into the top to create dimples.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle additional minced garlic and cheese on top.
  4. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Use a mature sourdough starter for best results. Allow the dough to ferment longer for enhanced flavor. Be generous with olive oil for a crunchy crust.
