  • 8 pieces Corn tortillas Cut into triangles
  • 1 cup Green salsa Store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For frying
  • 1 medium Avocado Sliced for topping
  • 1 cup Crumbled queso fresco or feta cheese For topping
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro Chopped for garnish
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream Optional for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the corn tortillas into triangles and fry them in olive oil until they are golden and crispy.
  2. In a large pan, heat the green salsa over medium heat.
  3. Once the salsa is bubbling, add the fried tortilla chips to the pan and stir until they are well coated.
  4. Remove from heat and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
  5. Serve your chilaquiles warm, topped with avocado slices, crumbled cheese, cilantro, and a dollop of sour cream if desired.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for best flavor, and consider making your own salsa for personalized flavors. Fry the tortillas until just golden so they remain crispy.
