Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach, fresh Fresh is best for vibrant color!
  • 1 piece ripe banana The riper, the sweeter!
  • 1 piece apple Peeled and chopped; your choice of variety.
  • 1 piece carrot Peeled and diced.
  • 1 piece sweet potato The secret to creamy sweetness!
  • 1 cup water or unsalted vegetable broth For a richer flavor.
  • 1 splash lemon juice To brighten up those flavors!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather your ingredients and let your little one see, smell, and touch the colorful produce.
  2. Wash everything thoroughly to keep things clean.
  3. Get your medium pot for steaming and a blender (or food processor) ready.
Cooking
  1. Add your chopped carrots and sweet potato to the pot with a cup of water. Steam for about 15 minutes until tender.
  2. Once the veggies are ready, add them to your blender along with spinach, banana, apple, and water (or broth).
  3. Blend until smooth, adding more liquid if necessary to reach the desired consistency.
Assembly and Storage
  1. Taste test the puree to check the flavor.
  2. Portion into small baby food containers or ice cube trays for easy portioning.
  3. Let cool completely before sealing. Store in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for future use.

Notes

For best results, use fresh, organic fruits and veggies. Adjust the puree's consistency with more liquid as needed.
