Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 450°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Season the chicken on all sides with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Place the chicken thighs skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes until slightly browned.
- Mix the melted butter with the hot sauce. Set aside half of this mixture for later use.
Cooking
- After 20 minutes, brush the chicken with the first half of the butter mixture and return it to the oven.
- Roast for an additional 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
Glazing
- Grate the zest from the lime and slice it in half.
- Mix the honey and one teaspoon of lime zest with the reserved butter and hot sauce mixture. Brush this glaze over the chicken.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and serve immediately.
Notes
Pair with side dishes like fluffy white rice, roasted broccoli, or creamy coleslaw. For leftovers, store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to four days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 375°F for 10 minutes for best results.
