Method
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and gochujang. Stir until well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts in a large zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag, and gently massage to coat the chicken well.
- Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or longer for more flavor.
Cooking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in a baking dish.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- For an added crunch, you can broil the chicken for an extra 2-3 minutes at the end to caramelize the top.
Serving
- Once done, let the chicken rest for five minutes before slicing. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
Make sure to allow ample time for marinating. The longer, the bolder the flavor! Keep an eye on cooking time to avoid overcooking the chicken, which can lead to dryness. Consider cooking the chicken on a grill for an added smoky flavor.
