Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Make the Main Filling
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add in the eggs one at a time, whisking in between. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, making sure to maintain the air incorporated.
  5. Add in the oats and flaxseed meal, stirring until well combined. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake
  1. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick. It should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  3. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best taste. Don’t overmix once the dry ingredients are added. Let brownies cool completely before cutting.
