Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Make the Main Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, whisking in between. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, making sure to maintain the air incorporated.
- Add in the oats and flaxseed meal, stirring until well combined. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick. It should come out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares.
Notes
Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best taste. Don’t overmix once the dry ingredients are added. Let brownies cool completely before cutting.
