Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mixing the Batter
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix together melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly incorporate the butter mixture into the dry ingredients.
- Fold in the oats and flaxseed meal, then stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
For better texture, avoid overmixing. Customize with nuts or other mix-ins as desired!
