Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, egg, garlic powder, and dried oregano. Mix well.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
- Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the cottage cheese mixture over the noodles.
- Add another layer of marinara sauce, and then sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers: add 3 more noodles, the other half of the cottage cheese mixture, more sauce, and 1 cup of mozzarella.
- Top with the final 3 noodles, more marinara sauce, and a sprinkle of remaining mozzarella cheese.
Baking
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Allow lasagna to rest for 10 minutes after baking for easier slicing.
