  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger Use fresh ginger for optimal flavor.
  • 4 cups water Heat water but do not boil.

Preparation
  1. Start by heating the water in a pot, but don’t let it boil.
  2. While the water is warming, squeeze the juice from the lemon into a cup.
  3. Peel the ginger and slice it thinly.
  4. Once the water is warm, add the lemon juice and ginger slices.
  5. Let the mixture steep for about 10 minutes.
  6. If you like it sweet, stir in some honey to taste.
  7. Pour into a glass and enjoy your refreshing lemon ginger water!

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Adjust ginger and lemon amounts according to taste. Make a larger batch and store it in the fridge, but fresh is always best.
