  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus Trim the tough ends before use.
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup Adjust for sweetness preference.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash the asparagus and trim the tough ends.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Toss the asparagus in the bowl with the mixture until it is well-coated.
Cooking
  1. Spread the asparagus out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Roast in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes, until the asparagus is tender and just starts to caramelize.
