Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and softened butter. Mix until the dough comes together.
- Press the dough into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bake the crust for about 15 minutes or until it becomes lightly golden.
Pecan Topping
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs. Then add the dark corn syrup, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Mix well.
- Fold in the chopped pecans into the mixture.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust and spread it evenly.
- Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes or until the topping is set and bubbly.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
Pecan Pie Bars can be served warm or at room temperature. You can also top them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for a special treat. They are delightful on their own too! To store Pecan Pie Bars, place them in an airtight container and keep them in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can also freeze them for longer storage.
