  • 4 pieces crusty rolls Freshly baked for the best texture
  • 8 slices smoked gammon Choose high-quality gammon for better flavor
  • 4 pieces eggs Fried sunny side up or to preference
  • 1 tablespoon butter For frying the eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the rolls in half and toast them lightly until golden.
  2. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add butter.
Cooking
  1. Crack the eggs into the pan and fry to your liking, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the smoked gammon slices to the pan to heat them up until warm and slightly browned.
Assembly
  1. Place a slice of gammon on the bottom half of the toasted roll and add the fried egg on top.
  2. Cover with the top half of the roll, press down gently, and serve.
