Preparation
- Crumble one small strawberry cake into a large bowl, remove any big crumbs.
- Add 1/2 cup of smooth strawberry or vanilla frosting to the crumbs and mix until holds together.
- Optional: Stir in 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh strawberries.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, form seven 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
- Chill the balls in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes to firm up.
Dipping and Finishing
- Melt 1 cup white or pink candy melts or white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl.
- Dip each chilled ball into the melted coating with a fork, lift, and tap off extra coating.
- Place back on the wax paper and add optional decorations if desired.
- Chill again for 10 minutes to set the coating.
Notes
Chill the balls well before dipping to prevent falling apart. Store leftovers in the fridge in a single layer.
