  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup chocolate chips Feel free to use different types of chocolate.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt Reduce or skip if using salted butter.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the vanilla extract and salt, mixing until combined.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until the dough just comes together.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Scoop out small portions of the dough and shape them into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Gently flatten each ball with a fork or your hand.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies are perfect for quick baking sessions, and they store well for several days. You can freeze the dough for up to three months. For different flavor options, consider adding nuts or using various types of chocolate chips.
