Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips ensuring even distribution.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
Baking
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake them and cool on the baking sheet. Consider customizing with nuts or different chocolate chips.
